Fathom

Fathom captures meeting recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated notes so you never have to take notes again. Connect it to NeuralSnap and every meeting becomes a source of structured, searchable knowledge — crystallized into Neural Snapshots automatically.

How It Works

NeuralSnap connects to Fathom via OAuth 2.0. No API keys to manage — just authorize and go.

Setup Guide

1

Navigate to Connections

Open your NeuralSnap dashboard and go to the Connections page.

2

Click Connect on the Fathom card

Find the Fathom card and click Connect with Fathom. This redirects you to Fathom's authorization screen.

3

Authorize NeuralSnap

On the Fathom OAuth consent screen, authorize NeuralSnap to access your meetings. The requested scope is public_api, which grants read access to your meeting data.

4

Redirected back — connection is active

After authorizing, you're redirected back to NeuralSnap. The Fathom card now shows a Connected badge. Token exchange happens automatically in the background.

5

Your meetings are ready

Your Fathom meetings appear in the transcript list, ready to browse and crystallize into Neural Snapshots.

What Gets Synced

NeuralSnap imports the following from each Fathom meeting:

  • Meeting title
  • Full transcript with speaker labels
  • AI summary generated by Fathom
  • Action items
  • Participants (from calendar invitees)
  • Duration (recording start/end time)

Only text content is imported — raw audio/video recordings are not transferred. Once imported, crystallize your meetings into structured snapshots using the Crystallization Guide.

Auto-Sync

Once connected, NeuralSnap polls your Fathom account every 30 minutes for new meetings. New transcripts appear in your list automatically once Fathom has finished processing them.

Need your latest meeting right now? Trigger a manual sync from the Connections page.

Token Management

OAuth tokens are managed entirely by NeuralSnap. Access tokens are refreshed automatically before they expire — you never need to manually manage tokens, paste keys, or re-authenticate under normal conditions.

Troubleshooting

Connection shows "Not connected" after it was working

Your OAuth token may have been revoked or expired beyond recovery. Disconnect Fathom from the Connections page and click Connect with Fathom to re-authorize.

No meetings appearing after connecting

Make sure your Fathom account is active and has recorded meetings with completed transcripts. Recently recorded meetings may take a few minutes to finish processing on Fathom's side before they appear.

Authorization error during setup

If the OAuth flow fails, ensure you're logged in to Fathom in your browser before clicking Connect. Try again — if the issue persists, clear your browser cookies for fathom.video and retry.
